Parkway’s Caring Makes the Difference Scholarship: Nurturing the Next Generation

At Parkway Insurance Group, we believe in the power of education and the importance of giving back to our community. Our “Caring Makes the Difference” Scholarship program is designed to support an outstanding high school senior who demonstrate academic excellence and a commitment to making a positive impact.

We are pleased to announce this year’s scholarship opportunity for graduating seniors from a Texas High School. One scholarship of $1000 will be awarded for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Eligibility and Requirements:

To be eligible for the Parkway’s Caring Makes the Difference Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Be a graduating high school senior from a Texas High School.
• Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Provide proof of acceptance to an accredited university, college, or trade school for the 2025-2026 academic year. Applicants must plan to attend on a full-time basis (minimum 12 credit hours).
• Submit a high school transcript (unofficial accepted).
• Submit a Resume highlighting academic achievements, extracurricular activities, and community involvement.
• Write an Essay or Create a Video:
  • Essay
    • 300 – 500 words
    • Answer the question: Describe a time when you or someone you know experienced an unexpected event that highlighted the importance of having a safety net, such as insurance. How did this experience shape your understanding of risk and responsibility?
  • Video
    • Technical Requirements:
      • Format: Vertical video, optimized for Facebook and Instagram Reels (9:16 aspect ratio).
      • Length: Maximum 90 seconds.
      • File Format: .MP4 or .MOV
    • Content Theme:
      • Your reel should creatively address the importance of having insurance. Choose one of the following themes:
        • 3 Key Benefits of Insurance: Highlight three crucial reasons why having insurance is essential.
        • Car Accident Checklist: Create a concise and informative checklist of what to do after a car accident.
        • Insurance Myths vs. Facts: Debunk common insurance myths in a creative and engaging way.
    • Creative Guidelines:
      • You can use visuals, text overlays, music and transitions. Ensure your message is educational, unique, clear, and easy to understand.

Application Process:

The application period opens on March 1, 2025 and closes on June 1, 2025 at 11:59 PM. All application materials must be submitted online through: https://forms.gle/nZBhHHZFkQWs9A6o6.

Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.

• Proof of college/university/trade school acceptance (if available at time of application; can be submitted later if accepted after deadline but must be prior to disbursement of funds)
• Essay or Video

Selection Process:

Scholarship recipients will be selected based on a comprehensive and holistic review of their application materials, including academic performance, extracurricular involvement, community contributions, and essay responses or video production.

Notification:

Scholarship winners will be notified between August 1 to 15, 2025 via email.
